Dream contains a blend of
eight herbs that were used in herbal folklore to promote visionary &
prophetic dreams. The herbs were combined together to create a relaxing,
sedative formula to aid sleep and induce vivid dreaming.
Mugwort
In ancient times mugwort was sacred to
the Greek goddess Artemis, goddess of the moon; therefore mugwort was
used in folklore to enhance psychic abilities & to have prophetic
dreams. Today, mugwort is known to have a nervine action which eases
tension & aids depression. It also has carminative & anthelmintic
properties. It contains volatile oils, bitter principles & tannins.
Kava kava
is a safe, mild tranquilizer taken for
anxiety, with mild analgesic proprties. It grows in tropical forests of
Polynesia. Kava contains several styrylpyrones, attributing to its
medicinal action.
Chamomile
has a broad range of uses. It is renowned for its relaxing, sedative,
anti-inflammatory, carminative, anti-spasmodic, antiseptic &
wound-healing properties. It contains a volatile oil consisting of
chamazulene, a blue-pigment; it also contains mucilage, coumarins, &
flavonoids.
Lavender
is a highly aromatic herb which is a
gentle, strengthening tonic for the nervous system, easing tension,
anxiety, headaches & depression. Its active constituents are found in
its volatile oil.
Hops Strobili
have a relaxing effect on the nervous system. Hops is used for treating
insomnia, anxiety & tension, as well as stimulating digestion, due to
its bitter principle which consists of lupulone, xanthohumol & humulone.
It also contains the flavonoids rutin, quercitrin, and astragalin.
Rose petals
According to folklore, rosebud tea drunk before sleep induces prophetic
dreams.
Jasmine
In Egypt, jasmine was sacred to Isis & used folklorically before sleep
for prophetic dreams.
Damiana Leaves
Damiana is a strengthening remedy for the nervous system, native to
Mexico. It is used for anxiety & depression. In folklore, it is said to
