Herbal Products - Herbalist Apprentice Programs - Herbal Consulting The Friends of Anne Hutchinson will hold their annual public forum on Sunday, July 13 at 1 pm,( weather permitting). Bring a picnic, a chair or blanket to Founders' Brook Park off Boyd's Lane in Portsmouth, RI. The life of Anne Hutchinson, Mary Dyer and other early women settlers will be discussed by various Friends members. Michael Ford, herbalist and owner of Apollo Herbs will discuss the work of Hutchinson and Dyer as herbalists and midwives in the 17th century and give a tour of the garden. Ford has planted the plant/herbal garden at the memorial and will present the new sign "The Anne Hutchinson and Mary Dyer Memorial Herb Garden." Representative Amy Rice will discuss the naming of the new Sakonnet Bridge in honor of Anne Hutchinson. John Hutchinson McCain will discuss the Harvard University/Anne Hutchinson connection.
